Thank you to all who attended our celebration of the production of the 8 Millionth cargo tie down strap which Cottonwood produces and packages for the US Department of Defense. We send a very special thank you to Col. Dan Skoda, Wing Commander and the members of the 190th Air Refueling Base including the wonderful Honor Guard, who helped mark this huge milestone!
HAPPY RETIREMENT JR CONDRA!
Cottonwood’s much respected and dedicated Work Services Director, J.R. Condra, is retiring and so one of the most abiding and steadfast forces behind the success of Cottonwood will be saying goodbye to us after 43+ years of service. With quiet determination, smarts, and a steady hand, J.R has demonstrated that high quality work that meets the satisfaction of our myriad business customers can be consistently achieved by a high performing, satisfied, and steady workforce.
Under JR’s direction, work availability has been consistent for most of these 43 years with 99% availability for the last 40 consecutive months. Over 10 million dollars have been paid in worker wages since 1972! Cottonwood is a better place because of J.R. Condra and as one of his staff stated “you can spend your lifetime looking, but you will never find anyone who is more dedicated, open minded, honest, fair and principled.” We will miss him and wish him a happy retirement!
The work on the cargo tie-down straps is going strong. We completed our 7 millionth strap under the contract.
Our folks are very proud to be providing straps for hurricane relief efforts.
